Veterans Memorial Park Pool is a family friendly public swimming pool offering a wide variety of fun experiences for all ages. This facility offers swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, lap swimming, party rentals and more.  In addition to providing aquatic programming, the aquatics division is committed to providing valuable water safety education and resources to our patrons and community. Come out to Veterans Pool to beat the heat this summer. The pool is open for the summer season from May 28 - August 7, 2022.

Rules

  • All swimmers under age 18 will be swim tested and given appropriate swim band to determine correct swim zones.
  • Children (12 yrs. and under) must be accompanied by an adult. If red-banded, adult must remain within arm’s reach.
  • Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained. Diapers should be checked every 30 minutes and changed at changing stations located in locker rooms.
  • All coolers and refreshments are subject to inspection by pool staff (no glass bottles). 
  • All swimmers must wear conventional type bathing suits. No cut-offs, jeans, underwear, etc.
  • No inflatable floats, water wings, etc. are allowed. Coast Guard approved lifejackets are allowed and available for use at the pool.

Weather Policy

Veterans Pool utilizes Thor Guard lightening detector system.  When the system determines a hazardous condition, the air-horns and strobe light provide necessary alerts. All patrons will be asked to leave pool and deck areas immediately. When the pool is safe to return to swimming the Thor Guard will signal with one short blast for an all-clear signal.

Canopy Rental

The pool canopy can be rented for $25.00 per day at the facility. The canopy includes 4 picnic tables located right between the shallow and deep ends of the pool. Food and drinks are permitted under the canopy but please look at our Policy and Rules Page for specific instructions regarding acceptable items.  Please note that this fee is only for the canopy rental and NOT for the admission into the pool. The renter must still pay for everyone in attendance who is entering the facility regardless if they are swimming. A reservation for this canopy can be made online. Swim Lessons

  • Group Lessons $40.00 (Includes 6 classes, 30 minutes in length, Tues - Thurs for 2 consecutive weeks)
  • Private Lessons $40.00 (Includes 2 class, 30 minutes in length, scheduled according to participants availability)

Water Aerobics

When water moves miracles happen!

Make a splash into fitness this summer and jump right into our aquatic classes. This low-impact class is designed to help improve balance, stability, cardio health, and muscular strength. This class is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Modification will be provided to ensure all participants can enjoy the benefits of water exercise. This class will offer a variety of workout routines to help build up strength and stamina. Come out and cool off in the water, invite a friend, and get fit this summer! All equipment is provided, just bring a smile!

Splash Pad

Veterans Memorial Splash Pad is a fun, free, and interactive outdoor play area. It includes colorful rainbow archways, water cannons, ground sprayers and huge elevated tipping bucket aimed to educate children about the water cycle. This splash pad is next to the playground, gymnasium, and swimming pool. The area offers shade and seating to relax as the kids smile, laugh and play. This splash pad was generously donated by Investigation Station.

The Splash Pad will be opening on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Splash Pad Hours of Operation

  • April through October 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • March through November 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Splash Pad Rules

  • Splash pad is unsupervised, use at your own risk.
  • No food, beverages, or gum in the splash area. 
  • All children not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper- regular diapers are not permitted
  • No running
  • Do not swallow the fountain water; it is recirculated.
  • Do not use fountain if you are ill with diarrhea.
  • No glass or animals in fenced pool area (or 50 feet from unfenced area).
  • Patrons must shower before entering the wet deck area.
  • No smoking on or within 50 feet from the splash area.
  • No climbing on the water features.
  • Children under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Urinating, discharging of fecal matter or blowing the nose in the splash pad water is prohibited.
  • No skateboards, roller skates, bicycles, scooters, or wheeled toys are allowed within the fenced area. 
  • Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources will not be held responsible for personal injury, lost or broken personal items.
  • Bathing load: 40 people.
