Our Mission: To enhance the quality of life for Pasco County citizens by providing a balance of athletic, recreational, cultural and educational opportunities, and by protecting the County’s natural resources including land, air, water, and wildlife.
Notice: The Pasco County Florida Department of Health has lifted the Swim Advisory at the South Beach of Sunwest Park. A Temporary Swim Advisory is still in effect for the North Beach at Sunwest Park. Water samplings were conducted and an advisory is in effect for the beach based on the freshwater bacterial indicators that have been recommended by the EPA. We apologize for the inconvenience. It is the Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Department’s responsibility to enhance the quality of life for Pasco County citizens – an element of the County’s Strategic Plan. This mission is accomplished by focusing on providing a balance of cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities along with protecting the County’s natural resources including land, air, water, and wildlife.

These three departments operate on an approximate budget of $12.1M with funds allocated amongst eight programs listed below:

We also provide 121 recreational programs and 40 events per year including social events, instructional classes and summer and winter programming.

The Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Department currently offers adult softball leagues in Central and West Pasco. A variety of leagues are offered, such as Men's, Senior, Church and Co-ed, Leagues are offered on most weeknights at the following locations:
