The Purchasing Department's purpose is to procure in a transparent, fair and ethical manner in support of Pasco County's mission. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of the Purchasing Department to ensure that all procurement activity is conducted in compliance with the Purchasing Ordinance and Pasco County Code Of Ordinances Municode, applicable State and Federal laws and regulations and approved policies and procedures.


Vendors are encouraged to submit the attached Vendor Information Form (PDF) to our email to have their email address and contract information updated within the new electronic system.

In an effort to generate more local vendor participation, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) Purchasing Department will be holding a workshop called "Doing Business with Pasco County". This is a great opportunity to learn about:

  • Receiving matched bid notifications & addenda
  • The importance of NIGP Codes
  • Local Vendors, Local Participation

This workshop is also meant as a chance for you to provide feedback on ways we can better address the needs of local vendors.

Registering with the BidNet Direct

There is a free registration option as well as an option to pay $89.95 annual fee. The difference between the two is the free option only allows you to manually check the website and search for open bids. The fee option allows you to register, set up email preferences, and then if anything comes through which pertains to the specific commodity codes, you will receive a notification. (This is a great value the company cannot commit to searching on a weekly basis for items).

Also by registering on the BidNet Direct you will have access to all the counties and agencies who use the same system so it is not limited to Pasco County only. Those added agencies are found  on the BidNet Direct website.

We require ALL vendors to register through this system to allow equal rights and opportunities.

With each bid posted there will be a contact email, and phone number of the buyer who is handling the purchase. All direct related questions should go straight to them. However, if you don’t receive a response, nor are able to find out the specific contact information, please call the Purchasing department at (727) 847-8194.
