The Difference Between Customer Numbers & Account Numbers
When making a payment or change to your account please be sure to note your Customer Number as well as your Account Number. A Customer Number will stay the same to maintain historical data for a user. An Account Number will change when a location or address is added or changed for a user. It is important to have both numbers noted to ensure payments are not credited to an outdated address or the wrong property, if there are multiple properties owned.

For both full payments and partial payments made after services have been disconnected, customers must contact the main office to have service reconnected. Making a payment to restart service is step one in getting services reconnected.

Beginning October 1, 2017, Pasco County Utilities customers will be charged a $2.75 convenience fee when paying their utility bill using credit cards and eChecks, whether online, over-the-phone, or in person.
To continue providing alternative payment options that surpass current security standards, Pasco County has partnered with Paymentus Corporation, a 3rd party payment processor. The convenience fee will be assessed for the use of all credit cards and eCheck payments. Online and over-the-phone payment benefits include:
- Enhance financial security to customers
- Secure and easy online access to pay a utility bill
- Assurance associated with instant payment options and confirmation of payment
It is important for citizens to note that when using a credit card or eCheck to make a payment, the convenience fee of $2.75 will be charged for each payment of $500 or less. For payments over $500, a $2.75 fee will be assessed for each $500 increment within the total payment.
In addition, no portion of the service fee is retained by Pasco County Utilities; it is exclusively to cover the costs incurred by the payment processor.
Board of County Commissioners Approve Revised Rates, Fees, and Charges
Beginning October 1, 2017, Pasco County Utilities customers may have seen rate changes in their monthly water and wastewater bill, dependent on the volume of water and sewer needs specific to property size, house hold size, etc.
On December 16, 2016 work authorization was approved by the County Administrator to update the County’s Cost of Service Rate Study. Findings and recommendations outlined in the study include across-the-board adjustments, decreases and increases to all service rates, fees, and charges. Services to the typical County residential customer, who currently uses 6,000 gallons of water per month (GPM), would see a decrease in their monthly water and wastewater bill from $71.97 to $70.02 (a decrease of $1.95, or 2.7%) in fiscal year (FY) 2018.
Pasco County adopts a four-year rate schedule and into the following three years the same example of a residential customer’s monthly bills, using 6,000 GPM, is projected to increase through FY 2021. An annual rate sufficiency analysis will be performed after each FY to determine the need for any annual increases.

Pinellas County $80.80 - Average Household use of 6,000 GPM
Hillsborough County $75.69 - Average Household use of 6,000 GPM
Pasco County $70.02 - Average Household use of 6,000 GPM

After completing your payment, you will be presented with an online receipt to print for your records. If you provide a valid email address, you will also receive a receipt via email. Your payment will be processed at the close of the current business day, except for weekends and/or holidays, in which case your payment will be processed at the close of the next business day.
